Objective:
This course is designed to provide students with a clear and structured understanding of tajweed—the science governing the proper recitation of the Qur’an—so they may connect more deeply with the Book of Allah and recite it as it was revealed. Students will explore the foundational rules of articulation (makhārij), characteristics of letters (ṣifāt), and the major principles that ensure accuracy and beauty in recitation. Beyond technical mastery, the course emphasizes developing a spiritual relationship with the Qur’an, recognizing that proper recitation is both an act of devotion and a means of preserving the prophetic legacy. By the end of the course, learners will gain confidence in applying tajweed rules, understanding common mistakes, and cultivating a recitation practice rooted in reverence, precision, and consistency.
